WYOMING, Mich.—Gordon Food Service announced today a transition in the leadership of its Board of Directors, as one family member retires and two others assume new roles.
Effective September 18, 2025, Dan Gordon will retire as both a director and the chairman of the board. He will be succeeded by Jim Gordon, who will become the new chairman, and Kara Gordon-Warren, who will take on the role of vice chair, a position previously held by Jim.
Dan Gordon’s retirement marks the culmination of an impressive 52-year career with the company, including 15 years as chairman of the board. Jim Gordon, who joined the company 45 years ago, has served as vice chairman of the board since 2016. Kara Gordon-Warren, a fifth-generation family member, has been with the company since 2003 and currently serves as president of U.S. Broadline Distribution. She has been a member of the board since 2016, alongside her cousin, Tommy Gordon.
