Notive of Fraudulent Job Offers

It has been brought to our attention that there have been instances of fraudulent job offers, that are claiming to be from Gordon Food Service and/or its affiliates (“GFS”). These persons have been offering fraudulent employment opportunities to applicants and often asking for sensitive personal and financial information, including requiring candidates to pay for training or other services and offering to reimburse those costs.

GFS does not collect any financial commitment from candidates or require payment to a third-party as a pre-employment requirement.

What is Recruitment Fraud?

Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated scam offering fake job opportunities to job seekers. This type of fraud is normally carried out through online services such as false websites, or through fake e-mails claiming to be from the company. Jobs may be posted on job websites or other job boards with fraudulent credentials. The fraudsters often request recipients to provide personal information and to make payments as part of their fake recruiting process.

How to Identify Recruitement Fraud?

Fraudulent job offers often ask for financial or personal information early in the process. GFS does not ask for any financial commitment or contribution from a candidate at any stage of the recruitment process. All personal information is collected through the portal and all communications with team members will be done by people with name@GFS.com

A fraudulent offer may ask you to pay for training with the promise to reimburse the cost.

GFS has no responsibility for fraudulent offers and advises candidates to follow the guidance provided above.
