Position Summary:
The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the technical landscape of the SAP applications and the connectivity of users to the SAP systems. Responsible for all aspects of the SAP environment, including implementing, configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system. Provides technical support and leadership for SAP Basis systems including establishing standards, nonfunctional requirements and evaluating and directing enhancements. Collaborates with ERP Enterprise Architect and other enterprise/domain architects and engineers on SAP architecture and specifications. Serves as a technical liaison to the SAP hosting and managed services partner(s).
What you will do:
Sets up and maintains the technical aspects of the system configuration across SAP ERP (SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Hybris, Fiori, SAP MDG, PO/PI, Solution Manager 7.2, HANA 2.0, XS engine)
Oversee hosting and managed services partners for day to day activity
Installs standard and 3rd party application add-ons
Serves as a technical liaison to the SAP hosting and managed services partner(s)
Assists with Application Package hardware requirement
Manages non-production and production environments (housekeeping job definition, workstation setup, printing setup)
Promotes object (migration of development and configuration across the SAP systems landscape)
Coordinates and assists the hosting vendor with testing the SAP solution’s high availability and disaster recovery efforts
Coordinates application patching and software upgrades with the hosting vendor
Assists with performance tuning and monitoring
Implements and maintains batch jobs
Monitors Overall System health and resolve or engage vendors as needed
Monitors and configure alerts in HANA
Monitors HANA & SQL Database health
Configures SLT and System replication as needed
Coordinates with teams to setup technical config in S/4HANA and MDG
Runs maintenance planner to support upgrade and patching as needed
Applies for a license and download software as needed
Applies SAP notes and corrections as needed
Coordinates with network & information Security team to open ports and IP’s as needed
Works with the vendor for System hardening
Supports interface connectivity and work with the network, interface teams
Prepares technical standards document for system builds
Participates in Downtime windows and system maintenance along with vendor
Performs on-demand HANA DB recovery
Performs and support HA & DR test as needed
Monitors and ensures HANA backups are a consistent state
Configures transport management & charms
Assists with defining and performing internal and external technical infrastructure security audits
Responds to escalated critical technical and performance issues that require advanced technical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities
Creates and maintains technical documentation in support of the SAP solution
Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to the table:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required
Five or more years experience as an SAP Basis administrator providing support and guidance to several ERP implementation projects required
Working knowledge with SAP in most of the following areas: SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Hybris, Fiori, SAP MDG, SAP PO/PI, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Solution Manager, SAP IDM and GRC
Expertise in HANA and SQL DB
Expertise in Linux to support SAP applications
Working knowledge of tools like SWPM, SUM , WILLY
Experience with multiple full lifecycle SAP projects, preferably with global organizations
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving experience relevant to SAP applications
Must have good written and verbal communication skills as well as good organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment
