As a Gordon Restaurant Market Receiving Scheduler you will maintain receiving schedules for dry, frozen or perishable products for all assigned buildings and occasionally assign loads to doors, balances, purchase orders and process freight handling, billing and payments.

What will you do?

• Schedules vendor freight deliveries in accordance with warehouse capabilities and inventory needs. 

• Communicates GFS Receiving Procedures and ensures inbound driver check in is complete.

• Accurately processes the freight handling billing and payments.

• Assigns trailers to dock doors.

• Enters and balances purchase orders.

• Enters various other data and records truck performance.

• Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Must be able to communicate clearly in a professional manner.

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. 

• Must be able to work independently or within a team environment. 

• Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

• Must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

• Prior experience in receiving/transportation scheduling preferred 

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)  

• Must be at least 18 years of age
