The Associate Tax Accountant primarily prepares various U.S federal, state, local and Canadian income/franchise tax filings for Gordon Food Service, and related entities.

When you will work:

• Hybrid Schedule 4 days in office 1 day work from home

• Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm

What you will do:

• Assist with tax depreciation and fixed assets.

• Assist with local business license filings.

• Prepares Federal proforma form 1120’s/Sch M’s and state/local income tax returns.

• Assist with tax research.

• Assist with tax provision calculations and tax estimated payments.

• Prepares monthly account reconciliations for various tax accounts.

• Prepares monthly journal entries for tax activity in related accounts.

• Investigate variances in tax accounts.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

• One to three years previous public accounting or corporate accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
