This candidate will gathers, records and analyzes data relevant to suppliers’ compliance with North American Imports and Commodities Group (NAICG) expectations. Develops, approves and manages vendor compliance to all packaging standards of NAICG. Oversees the timely response to all customer complaints received and follows up with suppliers regarding complaints as needed. Maintains up-to-date records of approved NAICG suppliers. In addition, this role provides support for the Global Procurement Team.
Responsibilities:
Develops, maintains and revises product specifications. Tracks and evaluates finished products to confirm compliance to specifications.
Conducts product sampling, inspection and testing to ensure product meets all NAICG specifications.
Maintains Vendor Compliance Log and other tools to ensure vendor files are complete and up to date. Follows up with suppliers as needed for updated documents such as audit or kosher certificates.
Reviews and approves product labels to assure compliance with NAICG, customer requirements, and brand standards.
Promptly responds to quality complaints from customers and forwards to buyers and Vendor Compliance Manager as needed. Conducts analysis of consumer complaints and any other product data to identify food safety and product quality trends.
Reviews and approves vendor-submitted inspection documents as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidate will have:
Ability to quickly learn new proprietary business and reporting systems.
Maintains knowledge of changes in the industry in the countries where NAICG conducts business.
Demonstration of a high level of detail management and follow through.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Reasoning – comparing, classifying, innovating, analyzing, coordinating, copying, etc.
Self Management – self direction, distraction, repetition, prioritization, fluctuations in workload, ambiguity, etc.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred plus 4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, such as a minimum of 7 or more years of experience without a degree, or a Master’s degree and two years of experience.
