This position is located in Concord NC but is supporting a team that has individuals from Pennsylvania all the way down to Maryland!
While no two days will look alike- here is a snapshot of some of the things you’ll be doing:
Leading a department of more than 125 people, including 4 direct reports
Critically evaluate processes for efficiency improvements
Leverage strong business acumen through partnerships with the warehouse and sales teams
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team to ensure the best candidates are brought into the team
Partnering with community organizations to establish Gordon Food Service as a community leader
Guide leaders within the organization around workforce planning, employee engagement, and disciplinary issues
All kinds of other special projects!

Does this look like you?
Experience dealing with ambiguity in an ever-changing market preferred.
Ten years previous transportation experience with five years previous management experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
Bachelors degree required
CDL-A license preferred
