Recipe Preparation

  1. To prep the crust, preheat oven to 350* F
  2. Beat sugar and butter in mixer until smooth
  3. Add in the vanilla
  4. Mix in flour until crumbly
  5. press the crust into a springform pan, bottom and 1 inch on side
  6. dock crust with a fork and bake 13-15 minutes
  7. To start on the filling, beat the cream cheese and sugar in a mixer until smooth
  8. Add in eggs 1 at a time on low speed
  9. Remove rind from camembert & cut into 1/2 pieces
  10. Add to cheesecake mixture, it will be lumpy
  11. Add in the vanilla
  12. Pour mixture into the cooled crust
  13. Place cheesecake on a sheet pan, add water and bake 25 minutes
  14. Cool the finished cheesecake on a rack at room temperature and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight before serving.
