State-by-State Restaurant Financial Resources Are Just a Click Away

With a fresh stimulus package uncertain, it pays to check fund availability in your area.

As lawmakers at the federal level debate a second round of COVID-19 economic stimulus money, restaurant operators are looking for financial answers.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (known as the CARES Act) provided $2.2 trillion in aid throughout the United States in March 2020. A portion of that money helped businesses with payroll costs and designated money for relief grants to be managed at state, county and local levels.

CARES Act relief funding application deadlines vary by community. Some areas are no longer accepting applications, while others have deadlines approaching. Whether you have applied or plan to apply, there are many questions.

To find the status in your area, it’s worth checking your city or county website for local small business grants and support. Also make sure to contact your local Chamber of Commerce or Restaurant/Hospitality Association for updates and opportunities.

Stay tuned to the Small Business Administration for news and information about taking advantage of state and federal resources.
