Gordon Food Service announced today it has appointed Brent Chrite to the Company’s Board of Directors. He will join the Board effective October 1, 2016.
Chrite currently serves as Dean of the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. Previously, he held the deanship at the Montclair State University School of Business in Montclair, New Jersey. In addition, he has been actively involved in creating opportunities and capacities in transition and emerging markets around the world. He has worked extensively with business leaders, policy makers, and entrepreneurs in an effort to harness the progress of the private sector toward the alleviation of poverty.
Chrite grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University, his master’s of science at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan.
