Gordon Food Service today held a grand opening celebration at its 420,000-square-foot distribution center in Imperial, Pennsylvania, 16 miles west of Pittsburgh. Attending the event were Lance Chimka, Regional Director of the Governor\u2019s Action Team; Bob Hurley, Director of Allegheny County Economic Development; Gordon Food Service Ohio Valley Division Assistant General Manager Mike Arnold; and Gordon Food Service Chairman of the Board Dan Gordon. In addition, several state and local officials, and Gordon Food Service customers and employees, were present. The distribution center began shipping in May and now employs 200 people. The company expects to employ 300 people within three to five years.<\/p>\n
